Operating leverage

Operating leverage refers to the degree to which a company can increase its profits by increasing revenue, due to the presence of fixed costs in its cost structure. A company with high operating leverage will see its profits increase more significantly with a rise in sales, as fixed costs remain constant regardless of sales volume.
